Lorivel is made for children. You stay in charge of money, photos and profiles.
No adverts. Turn on kid mode and your child sees no prices and no buy buttons. When the credit runs out your child sees a calm message, and you take it from there.
When something costs credit, Lorivel first asks for a parent's PIN. You set it in the parent portal. Without a PIN nothing is ever spent.
The books live in the parent's account. There you make a profile per child, so everyone has a bookcase of their own.
A photo needs a parent's consent. We use it only to draw the portrait and delete it as soon as you approve the portrait.
Before a story is written, moderation checks the idea. That keeps stories suitable for children.
Stories, illustrations and voices are made with AI.
Starting is free: 2 library books, no account needed. If you want to read more, a subscription opens the whole library from €6.00 a month, with a 7-day free trial. Making your own books costs stardust, sold separately from €5.00. Prices are provisional.
Stardust ✦ is the credit you make your own books with, at one fixed rate: 1 euro is 4 ✦. A picture book of your own costs 21 ✦, read aloud 26 ✦. Every pack and every subscription has the same rate, so buying bigger never makes stardust cheaper. Stardust from your subscription is used first; stardust you buy never expires.
We make the library books in advance: writing, illustrating, proofreading and narrating. That costs money and time once, and after that everyone may read them as often as they like. The first 2 titles are free so you can see whether it suits your child; after that a subscription keeps the library open.
In an adventure every choice is written, illustrated and narrated separately. It is the most expensive thing we make, and we can only sustain it within a subscription. Without one you can still read an adventure yourself.
Yes, any month, with one button in the parent portal. The subscription then runs until the end of the month and your stardust stays.
No. The first 2 books can be read without an account. For the whole library and for books of your own, a parent creates an account with a profile per child.
A photo is only possible with a parent's consent. We use it to draw the portrait and delete it as soon as you approve the portrait. Rather not use a photo? A description works too.
There are no ads, and in kid mode your child sees no prices and no buy buttons. A parent approves every spend with a PIN, and every idea is checked before a story is written.
Yes. If you make a book of your own without read-aloud, you can pick a voice later in the parent portal and add it for 5 ✦.
Yes. Lorivel runs in the browser on a tablet, phone or computer. There is no app to install.
